About Vila do Corvo
Vila do Corvo is the only settlement on Corvo island — the smallest and north-westernmost of the Azores, with fewer than 500 inhabitants. The entire island is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and is dominated by the Caldeirão, a huge volcanic crater with small lakes on its floor. Corvo is a paradise for watching migratory birds from the American continent — it is the easternmost point these birds reach when crossing the Atlantic — and one of the archipelago's most authentic and tranquil stops.
