About Mosteiros

Mosteiros is a parish of the Ponta Delgada municipality on the western tip of São Miguel, famous for its four offshore volcanic islets — the island's most photographed symbol — and for the best sunsets in the Azores. The fishing village has natural pools, black basalt beaches and easy access to Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Canário. It is also a starting point for cliff walks and seabird watching on the islets.
