About Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz is a town on Madeira's east coast, between Funchal and Machico, home to the Madeira Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport (FNC) — famous for its runway partly built on pillars over the sea, regarded as one of the most challenging in the world. The historic centre preserves the 16th-century Main Church and the Herédia Palace, and the town has a seafront bathing complex. The municipality also includes the famous Reis Magos Beach in Caniço de Baixo and the Aquaparque, Madeira's largest water park.
