About Ferreira do Zêzere
Ferreira do Zêzere is a small town in the Médio Tejo region, on the banks of the Castelo de Bode reservoir — one of Portugal's largest artificial lakes. The area is a haven for water sports, river beaches and nature tourism, with kayaking, sailing and swimming in the turquoise waters of the Zêzere river. The Dornes peninsula, with its medieval Templar tower rising above the lake, is one of the most photographed spots in central Portugal. Traditional gastronomy includes kid goat, river fish and local wines.
