About Matosinhos
Matosinhos is a coastal city right next to Porto, famous for the Port of Leixões — one of Portugal's largest commercial ports — and for the best grilled fish in the country along Rua Heróis de França. In Leça da Palmeira you'll find Álvaro Siza's Leça Tidal Pools (a masterpiece of Portuguese architecture) and the Boa Nova Lighthouse, and the long Matosinhos beach is one of Porto's most popular surf spots.
