About Cascais

Cascais is a coastal resort town west of Lisbon that evolved from a fishing village into a fashionable seaside destination after King Luís I chose it as his summer retreat in the 1870s. The historic centre has cobbled streets, the Citadel fortress and the Casa das Histórias Paula Rego museum.
