Cedros is one of the most remote and authentic parishes of Faial, nestled against the rugged north coast of the island where Atlantic winds have shaped a landscape of cliffs and intensely green pastures. Far from the bustle of Horta, the village preserves the slow rhythm of Azorean rural life, with its blue-and-white houses and the hydrangea-lined paths that burst into colour in summer. From here, the islands of Pico and São Jorge are visible on the horizon.
